I’ve registered for a French trial lesson. What should I do now?
A. Booking a lesson via the Member Area
1.Log on to the Member Area
When you registered for your trial lesson, you created an account, you chose a username and a password. If you don’t remember your details, they have also been sent to you by email. If you can’t find the email, you can ask for your login and for a new password.
2.Check our list of teachers
Once you are in the Member Area, you have access to our list of teachers. You can either choose from the teachers that have been recommended to you or go to the full teachers’ list.
3.Book a lesson for a day at a time that is convenient for you
Check your teacher’s availabilities and book a lesson by clicking on ‘Book Now’ corresponding to the day and time you would like.
4.Receive a confirmation email for your appointment
When you book your lesson, a request is sent to the teacher who will confirm the appointment. In rare cases, the teacher will send you a note to move the appointment to another time. In that case, follow the process again. If you don’t receive a confirmation email, check your account in the Member Area to see if the lesson has been confirmed. Maybe the email was sent to your Spam box. Allow 24 hours to have the lesson confirmed. If passed this the lesson is still not confirmed, please contact the head office.
B. On the D-Day
On the day and time you made your appointment, your teacher will call you either on Skype or on your landline. Make sure if you want to have your French lesson by Skype, you can add your teacher to your contact list on Skype. If you want to have your lesson by phone, make sure your details are correct and that your phone number is a landline (not a mobile phone) and that it displays the correct country code.
Your online French tutor will try to reach you for 15 min. If he cannot reach you for your lesson, you will get a reminder email as well. If you are waiting for your teacher but he doesn’t call you, send a reminder to your teacher. It will tell him and the head office that you are waiting for him. It’s better to send the reminder in the first few minutes of the lessons so that we have time to check what is going on.
For your French trial lesson, you will be asked to introduce yourself. If you have specific goals, make sure to communicate them to your teacher during the trial lesson. You will then get a sample lesson according to your level and needs. Feedback will be sent back to you.
