Mort \u00e0 Nice le 22 mai 2013 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 79 ans, Joseph Mustacchi, plus connu sous le nom de Georges Moustaki est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 par tous, comme un po\u00e8te, un monument de la chanson fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n

Fils d’immigr\u00e9s juifs grecs, Georges Moustaki nait \u00e0 Alexandrie en Egypte o\u00f9 il vivra jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ses 17 ans. Il quitte Alexandrie pour la France en 1951 et sa vie \u00e0 partir de ce moment n\u2019est qu\u2019une longue suite de rencontres qui vont changer sa vie.<\/p>\n

La premi\u00e8re rencontre importante d\u00e8s son arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris, c\u2019est celle qu\u2019il va faire de Georges Brassens son mentor. A cette m\u00eame p\u00e9riode, il va rencontrer d\u2019autres artistes qui d\u00e9butent : Jacques Brel, Henri Salvador et Serge Gainsbourg. En 1958, Georges Moustaki offre \u00e0 Edith Piaf \u00ab Milord \u00bb et une histoire d’amour naitra entre les deux artistes mais elle ne durera qu\u2019un an. <\/p>\n

C\u2019est dans les ann\u00e9es soixante que Moustaki va produire de nombreuses chansons pour des grands noms de la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise comme Juliette Gr\u00e9co, Yves Montand, Dalida ou encore Barbara qui va le pousser \u00e0 devenir chanteur et pas seulement auteur. Il va \u00e9crire \u00ab La dame brune \u00bb qu\u2019ils vont chanter ensemble. Elle va lui pr\u00e9senter en 1966 Serge Reggiani et cette rencontre va jouer un r\u00f4le important dans sa vie. Mais c\u2019est en 1969 avec \u00ab LeM\u00e9t\u00e8que \u00bb que le public va le d\u00e9couvrir.<\/p>\n

Au cours du Festival de la chanson populaire de Rio de Janeiro, Moustaki va tomber amoureux de la musique br\u00e9silienne et ses chansons vont subir cette influence. A partir de ce moment, il va faire des tourn\u00e9es, repr\u00e9sentant de la chanson fran\u00e7aise dans le monde entier. Georges Moustaki \u00e9crira trois cents chansons dont beaucoup sont devenues des classiques. Adieu Monsieur le po\u00e8te !<\/p>\n
